Will Brierre, Los Angeles-based mixing engineer whose past clients include artists ranging from metal band All That Remains to the illustrious Fleetwood Mac, has come to Pro Studio Live to share his vast knowledge of the art of mixing an Indie/Pop song. For this episode Will brought with him a song to deconstruct and explain from an Indie/Pop group, Komox, called “Achilles Heel”. This event begins with Will showing us a variety of mixing techniques and philosophies regarding getting the instrumentation to sit just right in order to allow the vocals enough room in the mix to shine, followed by answering some chat room questions and explaining his history in audio production.
